Japanese as a Foreign and Heritage Language -JASL-
2024 Fall Registration is now closed.
There are two Japanese as a Foreign Language courses: JASL for Grades 1-8 and the Community Course for Grade 9 and adults.
JASL (Grade 1-Grade 8)
This course is designed for students from Grades 1 to 8 who have limited or no exposure to the Japanese language. It aims to teach Japanese as a foreign language. The course offers 36 days of instruction, from September to June, and is divided into four groups based on age and Japanese language proficiency. The students will participate in various annual events such as joint sports days with supplementary schools, New Year's calligraphy in January, and the UN Haiku Contest. We offer a curriculum where children can learn the Japanese language and culture while having fun.
